BREAD COSTS ASSESSMENT MEETINGS CONTINUE

MUTSO 5th Professional Committee, which held its first meeting on June 10, continues its work.

Muğla Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MUTSO), the 5th Professional Committee, which includes members operating in the food trade, continues its work to determine bread costs and recommend prices. MUTSO Chairman of the Board of Directors Mustafa Ercan, Chairman of the Chamber of Builders and Sellers of Foodstuffs Güven Akarken and Deputy Police Department Manager Ali Zabir, representing Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, were present at the meeting hosted by MUTSO on Wednesday, June 16 with the participation of bakers. In the meeting held under the leadership of Committee Chairman Feray Aydın, recommendations were made on the values that should be while evaluating the current weight and prices of bread in eight districts within the field of activity of MUTSO.

Speaking at the meeting, MUTSO Chairman of the Board, Mustafa Ercan, gave information about the determination of bread prices, what happened afterwards and the approach to this issue. President Ercan said, “We are going through a difficult process due to the pandemic. First, I wish you all and your loved ones health. The unity, togetherness and solidarity of representatives of a sector is extremely important. In this regard, we are ready to provide all kinds of support to our 17 professional committees within the Muğla Chamber of Commerce and Industry. If you express your problems through our committee chairman or by contacting us directly, we are here to work together to resolve them said. President Ercan also advised bakers to produce quality bread and diversify bread.

The issues discussed at the meeting were recorded to be forwarded to the relevant authorities.
